Kitil is a student at Walnut Hills high school. This summer she is working in the Gudmundsdottir group on the synthesis and characterization of photoreactive crystals.
Kitil describes her research as follows:
Through the ACS SEED program I got the opportunity to work in the photochemistry lab at UC. I, with my mentor Upasana, worked to understand the photoreactivity behavior of cyclic dieneazide. This was in hopes to find the reaction sustainably creates pyrolle, an important component to different medications.
