Nathan Remotique

Nathan is an upcoming senior at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also joins the Merino group this summer to study reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Nathan describes his research project as follows: This summer I am working in the Merino group studying reactive oxygen species with Prasadini Senevirathne. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are signaling molecules important to cell metabolism and are produced by NADPH oxidase (NOX). While ROS is important for cellular processes in small amounts, large amounts can lead to ROS

In this video Nathan explains how he got involved in research at UC.
